HVAC Service Manager - BirdDogHire (Longview, TX)

HVAC Service Manager Napps Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing is currently seeking a dynamic, focused HVAC Service Manager Napps pays top wages for the crafts and offers a full complement of benefits.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the service, maintenance and installation department activity.
Train, coach and manage office staff to efficiently receive service calls and schedule service, maintenance and installation technicians.
This will include:
Receiving and dispatching all service calls.
Scheduling maintenance work.
Prioritizing calls.
Determining best course of action and technician for response.
Notifying customer of technician(s) estimated time of arrival.
Creating a work order and forwarding it to technician and field supervisor immediately after it is received.
Notifying customer of status and outcome of all calls.
Getting prior approval or direction from customer when appropriate.
Reviewing completed jobs with technician, determining if additional work is needed.
(This task would likely be performed directly by Operations Manager.
) Coordinate additional work with customer if needed.
Scheduling of all service, maintenance and installation activity.
Purchasing material and supporting services, such as hoisting, for repair and maintenance work.
Train, mentor and direct the activity of 15-20 technicians.
Conduct annual reviews for all department technicians and staff.
Monitor and record positive and negative performance.
Review and approve all department billing before issue.
Utilize service management software to schedule and optimize department activity.
Determine and manage manpower efficiency.
Prepare and present quotations for repair and maintenance work.
Support sales personnel as needed with quotations and closing of sales with a view to grow the business.
Control department operating cost while maintaining gross profit targets.
Review and approve department purchases.
Develop long range plans for the department (1, 2, 3 and 5 year) Forecast all capital purchases.
Schedule new start-ups with construction project managers.
Ensure you have appropriate information from Project Manager using start-up forms.
Schedule start-up.
Review start-up sheets from service technicians and confirm accuracy.
Turn over start-up forms to service contract administrator.
Facilitate compliance with all EPA regulations.
Other management duties may also be assigned.
Job Requirements:
Extensive technical knowledge and experience with large commercial HVAC/R equipment.
Technical expertise and experience in the repair and maintenance of large centrifugal and rotary screw compressors is a plus.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and to instruct others.
Industry specific knowledge of various components associated with HVAC service field.
NATE certification is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years as an HVAC service manager or adequate field supervisory experience.
Plumbing department technical skill and management experience is a plus.
Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft applications.
High school diploma/ or equivalent is required Additional trade school training required Why choose Napps?
