Document Control Specialist
Job Description Compensation, Experience, Education o Pay:
Up to $45,900.

3 years of consistent experience in documentation control, quality assurance, or equivalent o
Experience:
2 years of demonstrable experience creating, editing, and managing electronic CAD files o Education:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Quality, Drafting or related field.
o Military Training:
May substitute military training for education Job
Responsibilities:
o Sort or classify information by content, security level, chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order.
o Maintain both electronic and physical document control archives o Manage document management system features, such as user interfaces, access profiles, and workflow procedures o Administer documents, system access rights and revision control to ensure security of system and integrity of master documents.
o Under the direction of Engineering and QA make corrections, updates, modify or create detailed CAD drawings from sketches, or existing CAD files o Maintain BOMs and all other engineering and manufacturing documentation, including procedures, work instructions, drawings, manuals, product labels, software, calibration records, and specifications to ensure documentation is accurate and complete o Implement, and maintain a strict release and change control policy to ensure the security, accuracy and completeness of document system o Prepare support documentation and training materials for end users of document management systems o Eliminate outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage, o Work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
o Perform inspections or audits of system access, document management procedures, materials or files o Keep abreast of developments in document management technologies and techniques by reviewing current literature, talking with colleagues, participating in educational programs, attending meetings or workshops, or participating in professional organizations or conferences.
Qualifications:
o Excellent attention to detail and follow through o Strong reading comprehension skills o Disciplined self-starter, organized, team-player and cross-culturally adaptive o Strong communication skills with good leadership skills o Driven with an understanding of time to market concept o Focused on continuous education and improvement Skills:
o Mechanical Tools / Welding, Electrical Machinery e.

o Component Recognition & Basic Electronics (Preferred) o Technical/Instructional writing skills.
Software:
o Word (Advanced) o Database software (Intermediate) o Excel (Intermediate/Advanced) o Microsoft Outlook (Basic) o Cadence Pspice or equivalent (Preferred) o Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software (Intermediate/Advanced) o Autodesk AutoCAD software or equivalent (Intermediate) o SPSS (or equivalent statistical software), Preferred, not req.
Training:
Some training available on equipment and software, but must be able to learn and adapt quickly Work Conditions:
Modern, air-conditioned work-area, which offers a pleasant work environment.
Sitting or standing for long periods may be necessary and ability to see and work with small rice-grain size parts.
Some lifting and moving required up to 40 lbs.
Climbing stairs, ladders, bending, and reaching overhead.
