A project manager is the primary project administrator and cultivator with fiscal and operational responsibility for coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews, project fiscal management, and cultivating and maintaining client relationships and future work.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Manage Projects - Ensures 100 of all staff and employees work in a safe environment - Manages work assignments of resources assigned to project.
- Plans, reviews, and updates weekly project activities to ensure the timely completion of electrical projects.
- Defines project:
related responsibilities to maximize resources.
- Coordinates handoffs between internal departments.
- Assists and resolves issues in customer service, support and billings.
- Ensures the proper documentation and monitoring of designated project.
- Creates a monthly billing breakdown and develops billing strategies - Prepares Job Start and Project Closeout materials.
- Establishes and leads associated meetings.
Business Development - Markets, cultivates, and develops new customers and project leads.
- Develops and defines electrical project strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Generates preliminary assessments, technical solutions, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and general support.
- Maintains positive working relationships with building owners, contractors, consultants, vendors and partners.
Communication - Informs internal and external customers of new offerings and upgrades.
- Assesses and communicates manpower needs to the Sr.
Project Manager.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office :
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Knowledge of basic labor relations, hiring practices, etc.
- Clear understanding of GDC Co.
mission and values.
- Knowledge of project financial management including billing, cash flow projections, etc.
- Working knowledge of task planning, resource scheduling, productivity tracking, work breakdown structures, and contract management required.
- Experience working in industrial environments and heavy commercial a must.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or construction management is preferred.
- Seven (7) years of experience in electrical construction projects may substitute for education.
- Three (3) years of project management experience is required.
- Signed NDA required - Knowledge of various electrical systems is required.
- Must possess all skills of lower rated positions including E4, Journeyman, Foreman, Supt.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
