ResponsibilitiesPOSITION
Summary:
Perform Echo studies/procedures for patients.
Functions under the general supervision of the site supervisor and in cooperation with the cardiovascular team.
This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
What You Will Be Doing:
Perform Transthoracic, Transesophageal and Stress Echocardiograms for adult patientsEvaluate and assist in the operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipmentCollect and distribute documents relevant to procedures and other clerical items to ensure smooth, daily operationsNavigate the electronic systems with and for technologists.
Maintain adequate departmental suppliesAnswers phones and interacts with callers to the ECHO department.
Assist and support other department as necessary.
Interacts positively with all patients, staff, and physicians.
Provides excellent customer service by utilizing good communication skills and knowledge to ensure UT Health and departmental objectives are maintained.
Must know and follow departmental Policy and Procedures and practice Infection Control according to Universal PrecautionsSUPERVISION:
Works under the supervision of the site Director.
QualificationsSo what experience are we looking for in our Echo Technologists? Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Allied Health degree in Cardiac Ultrasound experience performing Echocardiagraphy studies preferredEcho Registry eligible per ICAEL standardsCPR Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of patient care experienceMinimum of 1 year of experience performing Echocardiography studies preferredKnowledge and ability to operate equipment and perform ultrasound proceduresGood leadership qualitiesKnowledge with a variety of echo equipment vendors and CVIS systemsAbility to adapt to changing situationsFluency in English language to function in job environment appropriatelyMust exhibit desire to exemplify the Ardent Health Services culture, including the Ardent Mission, Vision, and the Ardent wayMust possess excellent customer service skillsGood organizational and follow-through skiillsAbility to multitask constantly and tolerate interruptionsMust be able to communicate with patients and staff, and have good organizational, technical, and planning skillsMust be able to handle stressful situations and make accurate decisionsCertification and Licensure:
ARDMS or CCI or Registry-Eligible Registered Echocardiography Technologist preferred;Registry in Adult Cardiac Ultrasound preferredRegistry in Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
