Company Description Job Description Position Opening Andrews & Foster Drilling Company (A&F) has an immediate opening for a Water Well Driller's Assistant.
The Driller's Assistant is responsible for assisting the Driller with all field activities, including, but not limited to, drilling and installation of private, commercial and industrial water wells, cathodic protection drilling, geothermal drilling, mining and mineral exploration, and groundwater exploration and development projects.
Position Responsibilities Physically complete projects assigned by the Driller/Drill Rig Foreman o Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all A&F equipment and field operations o Complete all required paperwork, including daily reports and driller's logs o Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including equipment and jobsite areas o Willing to work demanding hours when needed due to equipment and or project needs o Expected to work 2-14 day hitches (away from home) depending on client needs/scope of work Qualifications o Strong drilling skills from actual experience over a diverse amount of equipment o Maintain a clean driving record and hold a Texas Class A (CDL) with tanker endorsement drivers license o Written and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively in person, via phone, text and written reports o Able to physically implement work duties assigned in various weather elements o Able to physically implement any changes and conduct maintenance to equipment o Willing to work diligently and take ownership over work whether project is small or large o Able to work independently as well as with a team o Able to facilitate positive, professional customer relations o Required to have cell communication 24/7 o Expected to turn in all required paperwork in to office on a daily basis Benefits As an employee of Andrews & Foster Drilling Company, the driller's assistant will have access to a variety of benefits, including health insurance, a retirement program, personal hours, and a clothing allowance.
